Fierce

I received a journal update from a Sister-Friend early this morning, letting all of her friends know that her cancer has moved to her liver. I know putting the word out wasn’t an easy thing for her, as the last thing she wants is for people to feel bad for her or treat her any differently than before. That being said, she doesn’t realize that her story infuses a sense of strength in all of her friends and family; as we want to be there for her, lift her up, and carry her through (and beyond) this next phase to better health.

We’re all on this journey together, Sister, and we’ll move through it with fierce determination and love.
